CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a leading provider of senior-focused, risk-bearing primary care services to Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. WCAS XIII Primary Care Investors, LP was formed in 2020 as part of a joint venture between WCAS and Humana, the second largest Medicare Advantage payor in the country, to build 50 value-based primary care clinics (ultimately expanded to 67) by 2023. In 2022, WCAS XIV Primary Care Investors, LP was formed as part of a significant expansion of the WCAS-Humana partnership via a second joint venture to build an additional ~100 clinics through 2025. The CenterWell JVs represent a subset of Humana’s broader primary care footprint, positioning Humana’s Primary Care Organization (PCO) as the largest provider of senior-focused primary care nationwide.
