Kyle Rose is an Operating Partner on the Healthcare team, having joined WCAS in 2022. Kyle leads the team’s data and analytics strategy. He works to both assess the data assets of new investments and identify opportunities across portfolio companies to leverage data to enhance performance, including specifically by better quantifying the value our companies provide to the healthcare system through objective measures of quality, outcomes, patient satisfaction, risk reduction and cost avoidance. Prior to joining WCAS, Kyle spent nearly two decades at the Advisory Board Company and the Optum division of United Health Group. There, he led best practice research, clinical technology evaluation and new product development teams. Throughout the 2010s, Kyle founded and managed a claims-based market share and strategy software service that remains a market-leading Optum offering. Kyle has also served as General Manager of NorthStar Anesthesia’s ambulatory surgery center division, with both operational and business development oversight.
Kyle is active in the Austin health tech startup community, providing mentorship, business plan advice, and market perspective to early-stage Founders and CXOs. He also advises several health information exchanges (HIEs), both regionally and nationally, on data acquisition, use cases, and governance.
Kyle lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two sons. When he isn’t working, Kyle coaches youth basketball and attempts (mostly in vain) to use performance data and advanced analytics to give his teams an edge.
