Ryan Harper, a General Partner at WCAS, collaborates with talented executives to develop and grow industry-leading software businesses. Ryan originally joined WCAS in 2010 and rejoined in 2018 after acquiring hands-on experience in various operational and entrepreneurial roles. Ryan’s previous private equity experience includes roles at Hudson Hill Capital, Summit Partners and Diamond Castle. He was also Senior Vice President at INTTRA, a leading tech platform for the ocean shipping industry, and he was a co-founder of Prelude Fertility, the leading network of fertility centers across the U.S. This unique blend of experiences allows him to provide effective support to executives across WCAS’s portfolio companies.
Committed to giving back, Ryan serves on the Investment Committee of the Terry Foundation, which grants scholarships to high-potential Texas students who don’t have the financial means to attend college. He also serves on the New York advisory council of for the University of Texas’s McCombs School of Business.
Ryan lives with his wife and three children in New York City’s Battery Park neighborhood and escapes, whenever possible, to the Catskills to recharge and rejuvenate in the mountains. In his spare time, he practices Italian to keep up with his Italian wife and young children who have already surpassed him.
